ANNOUNCEMENTS
PAG Kenya Census 2026
The planned national census by the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Kenya Church on 14th June 2026 is a historic and spiritually significant exercise for the growth and development of the church.
Throughout the Bible, God often required His people to be counted, organized, and accounted for, not merely for administrative purposes, but also for spiritual direction, stewardship, and effective ministry.
This census therefore reflects biblical principles of order, accountability, and shepherding God’s people.
In the Old Testament, God commanded Moses to conduct a census of the children of Israel in the wilderness. The purpose was to know the strength of the nation, organize the people according to tribes, and prepare them for service and advancement into the Promised Land.
The Book of Numbers derives its name from this important exercise of counting God’s people. The census enabled leaders to understand the condition, needs, and responsibilities of the community.
In the same way, the PAG Kenya Church census seeks to establish an accurate understanding of its membership across the Republic of Kenya so that ministry, evangelism, discipleship, and development programs can be effectively planned.
The census is also important because it demonstrates responsible stewardship. The church is called to care for every believer just as a shepherd cares for every sheep in the flock. Jesus Christ emphasized the value of every individual soul when He spoke of the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine sheep to search for the one that is lost.
Through this census, the church leadership will be better positioned to know its members, identify their spiritual and social needs, and ensure that no believer is neglected in ministry and fellowship.
Furthermore, the exercise symbolizes unity within the body of Christ. As members are counted and registered, they become part of a collective vision and mission of the church.
The census will strengthen communication, planning, and coordination among local assemblies, districts, and national leadership. It will also provide reliable data that can assist the church in strategic decision-making, missionary work, youth programs, education, humanitarian outreach, and future expansion.
Biblically, God is a God of order and not confusion. The early church in the New Testament also maintained records and organized ministry structures to effectively serve believers and widows. Therefore, the PAG Kenya Church census is not merely a statistical activity, but a spiritual undertaking that reflects biblical wisdom, accountability, and preparation for future growth.
As the church prepares for this important event on 14th June 2026, all members are encouraged to participate fully, truthfully, and prayerfully. The success of the census will help the church build a stronger foundation for ministry, preserve institutional records, and strengthen the unity and vision of the body of Christ for generations to come.
